TrueImage 2011 not responding after backup version delete

Thread needs solution

Hi! I am using TrueImage 2011 (build 6857) on Win7 (64bit) and storing my backups on a NAS. To clean up some of the older backups, I wanted to delete backup versions (by right-clicking on a backup version and selecting "Delete Version"). First everything as expected, confirmation is requested, upon confirmation, I can see the associated files disappear on the NAS but then TrueImage stops working (see screenshot). After closing and restarting, the deleted version has disappeared as expected. Any ideas why TI stops working at that stage?

Regards.

Hello,
I have the exact same symptom ATHI2011 (latest build 6857 FR) on Win7 64bit.

Regards

There is a bug with ATI 2011 when deleting older versions or intermediary backups. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Acronis is aware of it. My recommendation: don't do it, or do it manually and restart a new backup task. Alternatively, you can use a backup scheme that cleans up automatically.

The reason why I did some deletion of oldest backup (and got this same issue) is that because the automatic deletion was not working properly either.
I got some disk full error in the log and this showed that the daily backup has been aborted.
What do you mean by "do it manually"? Delete file from within Windows Explorer?

Yes. Delete from Windows Explorer. Then move the remaining files to another directory. Then delete the previous tasks in ATI (it will complain some files are missing).

Automatic deletion seems to be working fine with the latest build. 6696 had issues with auto-cleaning settings other than "store no more than...". 6857 seems to be OK.

OK, thanks

Hello,

Installed version 6857 of ATHI 2011 (French version) but still having the issue when trying to delete oldest backup. TIB file is actually deleted but ATHI GUI freezes (No Response). Need to kill it thru Task Manager and then restart. I've not yet tried the automatic deletion feature.

Correct, the delete version is not working like it should. Sigh....
