TrueImage 2013 backup queuing, but never backs up
I recently installed TI 2013 build 5551 on a 64 bit Win7 system. It's not the first time I've used TI, but it was the first time it was installed on this system. It created backups fine for several days. One day I rebooted my system and got a message as Windows was coming back on. I don't recall the exact message, but it the screen was similar to when Windows is updating. A web search showed that was a common message caused by TI when validation was turned on. So when I finally got control of my system again I turned validation off. Since then TI has not made a successful backup. When I bring up TI there's a message about it queuing. When I right click on the task within TI, no menu pops up as it normally does.
I deleted the backup schedule and created a new one and have the same problem. Any thought on what I should look at next? Thanks.

Strange, validation isn't switched on as a default. I suggest running a repair install and then check to make sure the Acronis services in Windows Services.msc are set to automatic and running.

Within my procedures, if a task needs an option change, I cease to use the task and start a new task pointing to a new empty sub-folder. One folder per task and never any edits.
This procedure is far quicker than trying to perform troubleshooting as to why something is now working correctly. I feel I have a better chance of success with an original non-edited task.

When you installed True Image, did you enter your serial number to validate the installation?
Select Disk and partition backup, click on Disk backup options on the bottom left, select validation and uncheck the box.
Yes, it has been activated and it indeed a legal copy.

The info I read said that it was checked by default and it was and is checked on my system. I noticed it when I first set up the backups and thought it was a good idea so I left it alone.
Acronis Nonstop Backup Service, Acronis Scheduler2 Service and Acronis Sync Agent Service are all automatic and running.

My first step was to uncheck the Validation option. After a couple of days of no backups, I deleted the original tasks and created new ones. Still no backups and my new one is sitting queued now. I should add that after "Time Left" it says "calculating".
Thanks everyone for the input.

I want to clone my WinXP C: drive to a backup disk and make this disk bootable. Is there a way to schedule this to start automatically? Need to do it off hours.
Thanks,
Bill

Clone cannot be scheduled. Disk and Partition backups can be. Disk and Partition backup + restore = clone
Only "removable" media (CD, DVD, USB flash drives, but not USB HDD) can be made bootable. Making a backup medium bootable is not necessary for bare metal recovery: you can/should use the ATI recovery medium that allows you to run the program without Windows.

Hi all,
I have the same problem as pitmann44
Same situation :
- Win 7 64bits, True image 2013, product is successfully activated
- The backup process worked well for one month, since I had to cancel one scheduled incremental backup
- Since that, the scheduled task never start again
- I cannot start it manually (when I clic on the "backup now" button, nothing happen. if I clic on it a second time, I have an error message that says backup is already running ! error code 0x006400C8+0x0064023B+0x00900012+0x0009005C, nothing in the knowledge base)
- If I try to create a complete new backup, it stays always in "queued", calculating time but nothing happen.
Any help will be very appreciated !

Mathieu,
Have you already tried running a repair install of 2013?
You haven't stopped any of the True Image services in Services.msc at all?

I ended up dropping TI and went to Macrium's Reflect. It works well.

I haven't stopped any services, and morevoer I've checked everything seems to run well.
In fact yesterday I've tried the fix described here : http://kb.acronis.com/content/41540
Nothing changes...
This morning, I've tried to uninstall everything, run ccleaner, restart, re-install everything, same problem
Thanks for your help !

Mathieu,
Di this problem start after either Windows updated itself or another software package updated or was installed?

I don't know, the last backup was on 5th september... I don't think so, because as far as I remember at this time I was in Asia so far away from my external backup HDD, and also form any network.
I can see four acronis processus working in task manager, schedhlp.exe, TibMountMonitor.exe, TrueImage.exe *32, TrueImageMonitor.exe *32. As I run it on a Win7 64, is the *32 normal ?
It's extremely annoying i think I'll have to find another (working) solution soon !

I was having the same problem where my program was staying in que and calculating. I opened up Task manager closed out the TibMountMonitor I went into services.msc and stopped all 3 Acronis services. If you have a problem closing Acronis sync Agent its because you have acronis open. After I stopped all three services I restarted them and ran Acronis TI 2013 as an admin by right clicking on the icon and clicked run as admin. It opened I ran the back ups and the problem was solved it did the back up. After I backed up I closed the program and reopened it regularly and have not had an issue as of yet with it.
Acronis Nonstop Backup Service
Acronis Scheduler2 Service
Acronis Sync Agent

@Dwayne, Thanks for your detailed message. I had the same problem and your solution fixed mine!

Thank you Dwayne. It fixed my problem too and it was with 2016. I didn't even bother to start the services again. I just ran Acronis and all went along smoothly.
