TrueImage 2014 PRO hangs when loading

Thread needs solution

True Image 2014 Pro hangs on Win 8.1 64 bit when loading. I have removed it, removed Disk Director, run the atih_cleanup_tool_s_e removal tool and cleaned up all temp files before reinstalling. It still hangs. Wait chain shows 4 TrrueImage.exe threads followed by a schedul2.exe thread. Text says 'One or more threads of TrueImage.exe are waiting to finish network I/O.'

I've tried disabling all network and bluetooth adaptors - no difference.

It used to work - but I have run out of ideas as to how to proceed.

I have a screenshot showing the application and the wait chain and a dump taken at the same time.

Do you have multiple backus attempting to start at the same time? If yes, separate the start times.
Acronis will only run one and the others if waing is taking up resources.

There is nothing scheduled - I have not got that far. After the re-installation it will not let me do anything.

Why not try to stop the process for each listing of TrueImage.exe.
Then reboot.

I have tried that thank you, but it made no difference.

The problem is even stranger than I thought. I originally had copies of W8.1 and W7 on the same ordinary disk drive using dual boot, both with Acronis True Image (and Disk Director). I recently added a SSD for the W8.1 operating system and built it from scratch with both Acronis products and it was working. Now I find that True Image hang that I reported on the W8.1 on the SSD also occurs on the W8.1 on the ordinary disk. It is still OK on the W7 system. Removing and reinstalling makes no difference on either W8.1 system. I wonder if it is a microsoft change? Both have all maintenance applied.

What I find really odd is that it is waiting on a network even when all adapters are disabled and te network cables disconnected. There are no network mapped drives.
