TrueImage 2018 and 2019 - add backup fails

Thread needs solution

(I was using 2018 but later tried 2019 without success.)

I created a backup on a hdd attached to my router, apparently successfully, but I cannot access that backup on TrueImage. Nor could I move the file until changing the protection in TI. Now I can see it but adding that backup either on the router hdd or on the one in the computer says it is successful but does not appear anywhere in the list. Both ocations seem OK in explorer but double clicking on them simply returns to the TI screen where there is no trace of the files.(I have had to change security flags on the backup in windows)

How do I recover the image? Can I not back up to the router attched drive and recover from there?

Jim, did you create the original backup on this same computer using the Windows ATI GUI ?

If so, then using the option to add the backup back again to the ATI GUI will just reference the added file within the existing backup task as a recovery point using the date/time of the file.

If you want the added backup to show as a separate backup task, then you would need to first remove the original backup task from the ATI GUI before trying to add it back again when selecting the file in the location it is stored now.

ATI 2018 & later integrate the Acronis Active Protection (AAP) which will prevent any Acronis .tib files from being moved etc.
