TrueImage Home 2010 on Win7 x64

Thread needs solution

I've got an install from the beta of TIHome 2010 that tells me I need to buy a copy to use it, but I -have- purchased a full license.

I tried to uninstall it from remove programs, but it tells me it's corrupted. I've also tried extracting the .msi from the installer (both for the original beta install and the new release version I downloaded) and doing both repairs and uninstalls from them, with no luck. I've also tried to run as admin. I even tried going through and cleaning it out of the registry everywhere... it just BSoD'd me and I had to do a restore to previous state.

I've been having some things that seem like they might turn into drive issues, so I'd really like to be able to back up my system.

I'm using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, from an administrator account.

Any ideas?

Hello Josie,

I will do my best to solve the issue you experience but first I would recommend you download the latest which was released recently, install it and see if the issue persists.

If the issue persists try to do the following as workaround:

1)      Install the program in Safe Mode

2)      Disable temporarily any antivirus software

3)      Clean temp folder (Delete all files in \Documents and Settings\[Account Name]\Local Settings\Temp\)

In case the issue still remains please send me the serial number you are using for Acronis True Image Home 2010 via PM so I can check it. Also please include the link to this thread.

Let us know the results.

Dmitry,

That path isn't correct for W7 users, it is;

C:\Users\[account name]\AppData\Local\Temp
