TrueImageMonitor.exe startup program needed?

Thread needs solution

Hi Friends,
I was just going through the list of my startup programs (using Win Patrol) to see if all those that are listed really need to run at startup. There are 2 entries/programs from Acronis, and I don't understand why. I want to make sure it will be ok to remove them (using WinPatrol).

TrueImageMonitor.exe and SAOB Monitor

I have Acronis True Image Home 2011. I use the disk backup to an external hard drive. I just call up Acronis when I'm ready to make a backup, connect the ext drive, and click "Back up now". So it seems like there shouldn't be anything running from startup, and all day. It seems like it only should run when I ask it to do a backup. I'm on Win7, 64-bit.

So can I remove them from the startups? Or do they serve some purpose for my backups? Please let me know if you need anymore info.

Thanks for your help :-)

Edit

And there's another one -- Acronis Scheduler2 Service.  Is this one needed either?  TA

They are both needed. You can't run a manual backup now operation if the scheduler service is stopped. Certain things won't work if you stop TrueImageMonitor. The Cancel button will not work during a backup. My advice is to leave the services as they are.

Ok, thanks for the info :-)
