I choosed to apply and submit changes, but it stuck upon trying to shutdown received messages from windows saying it can´t store a.dmp file. now after poweroff as soon as i start up Laptop it goes to acronis loader and trys to commit changes, but it hangs at 0% all the time and the -- > goes from left to right.
i tried to start from my recovery CD with and without system journal in that graphic screen hit upon start windows, but is doesn´t start, also F8 for windows safe boot is not working.

How can i get my windows up ?
Could i at least assume that i could remove the disk and attach it via USB to a running systme to take off my data?

Hello Gerd,

Please accept our apologies for the difficulties you've experienced.

Let me assist you.

To be able to boot to Windows you need to repair Master Boot Record the following way:

Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003 Installation CD

Boot the computer from the installation CD, start Recovery Console and run fixmbr and fixboot commands.

Further information is available at:

(!) If the system partition was not restored to its original position, then the boot.ini file needs to be updated.

This can be done with the Recovery Console command bootcfg /rebuild

Further information is available at:

Creating a Windows XP Boot Disk

For Windows 2000:

Windows Vista or Windows 7 installation CD/DVD

Boot from Windows Vista installation disc, select language and keyboard or input method, click Next and choose to Repair your computer. Then you will need to select the operating system that you want to repair. In the System Recovery Options dialog box click Command Prompt and type the following:

Bootrec.exe /FixMbr
Bootrec.exe /FixBoot

If you want to completely rebuild Windows Vista Boot Configuration Data, then you should issue the following command:

Bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd

This command scans all disks for installations that are compatible with Windows Vista. Additionally, this option also allows select the installations that you want to add to the Boot Configuration Data store.
