Try & Decide -> Blue screen -> "Status of commit: 0%", then nothing!

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I was using Try & Decide for the first time. A pop-up told me to decide what to do because the hard drive where about to get filled up. So, I decided to continue.

Now the computer started working so much making it impossibel to do anything, I couldn't even press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. It didn't really work much with the HDD. The next day (approx 10-12 hours later) it still was working, but a few minutes after lifting the lid, I got a blue screen and it was dumping the memory.

At boot up it get stuck on:
"Starting Acronis Loader...
Starting committing...
Status of commit: 0%"
and nothing more happends (except for the growing snake chasing the @ back and forth on the screen).

What happend? Can I do a FIXMBR, FIXBOOT and BOOTCFG?

I'm not sure it really did save although the icon near the clock said it was doing so.

Please help.

Best regards,
Richard

Rich,

If you have a system backup you can use to restore, that would be ideal.

Otherwise, yes, try to repair the startup of your computer with the Windows DVD
