Try&Decide hung at 'Starting Acronis Loader' when reboot to discard changes

Tried twice and both hung. First try could ctrl-alt-del to restart, second completely hung, no response to keyboard at all (even Caps Lock didn't light when pressed), had to switch off power.
Dell XPS15s with 512GB SSD.
