Try&Decide & Recover CD both reboot error ATIH 2014

Thread needs solution

Both my 2014 recovery (via CD or F11) and Try&Decide feature fail upon reboot of XP Dell machine, and both worked with ATIH 2011.

I upgraded 2011 to 2014 w/o uninstall. However, I had other issues with the upgrade (Snapshot, MBR corruption, backup incompatibility between '11 and '14), and I've since gone back and used clean/removal utility and registry check per forum to clean off 2011. 2011 left recovery in MBR.

Now both Try&Decide and reboot to recovery (either F11 or from CD) fail.

Try&Decide can be enabled from windows
Upon reboot, it enters recovery code, but soon fails before starting windows (see attached files).

Codes error 0x10cc02 and 0x3cf1bd23c30bc267 are reported.

After acknowledging errors twice, system reboots normally, and try&decide tray icon is shown running. I have options to keep or discard changes when I open Acronis ATIH 2014.

My machine is XP SP3 on DELL Precision tower. Disks use DELL BIOS RAID 0 and formated NTFS as 3 partitions.

See attached.

This all worked fine with ATIH 2011, so I exclude my machine and software as suspect.

I suspect ATIH 2014 no longer supports this DELL drivers, either disk, graphics, or mouse.

Hello Mike,

it looks like crash. Could you please install the newest build 6614 (released yesterday) and check, if the issue persists?

Thank you in advance!

thanks for suggestion, but I think its more like a conflict with drivers, since the error manifests outside of the OS.

I did upgrade to 6614.

1) problem with recovery CD image boot was worked around by chat support. Techs created a special boot CD for me that incorporated missing RAID drivers. Now I am able to recover if required. I asked, but was not clear on the answers (language issues), but I think what was said was these drivers will be included in a future release of ATIH. I did re-verify and can still boot without any special commands using my 2011 recovery CD, so this validates that something changed with the 2014 CD, and their special image with RAID drivers is an adequet work-around, but not a final solution.

2) the errors shown in attachments in the original post for the Try and Decide feature persist. Same error messages. If I continue and keep vs. clear the Try&decide cache, the sytem boots normally after acknowledging the errors, and Try&Decide is loaded in the Tray. It appears that Try&Decide is working, but I cannot confirm. I can open the application and choose to keep or delete changes that were captured prior to the reboot. That said, I think the remaining problem is non-impacting. I need a way to see if Try&Decide is working, and if so, then I can safely ignore these boot errors. Removing the errors can wait at lower priority until software engineering can find and correct.
