Trying to restore a test backup of the primary hard drive in a raid 1 array

I did a backup this morning of the MBR and 3 physical partitions that comprise the primary drive of a raid 1 array. I didn't backup the logical partitions because that seems like a waste of time and space.

I finally got into the recovery console but I'm not sure how to start the restore. After selecting a file to restore the Recovery Wizard is asking me to 'Specify recovery settings of Partitions' and I have no clue what it's asking for or why. It's a recovery, not a creation. The Recovery Wizard is asking for 'New Location'. You'd think the answer to this question would be easy to find in such a HUGE user manual. But, perhaps that's the problem!

I'm really surprised that this software is so difficult to work with.
