Two separate backup jobs acting as if they are connected

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis True Image 2014 Premium and have created two separate incremental disk backups for the C (Windows) and D (data) partitions on my hard drive which are stored in separate folders named "C Drive" and "D Drive" on a network drive. C is backed up once a week and D every day.

Yet they act as if they are a single backup. The backup version number and "Recovery" button only appear on the C backup and the message appears on the D drive: "not backed up yet" (see attached screenshot). But in fact the D drive has been backed up and appears in its folder each day. So the D backup is acting as if it has not backed up but actually is creating an incremental backup each day.

Where the screenshot says that the last backup was of the C drive ("Today at 13:05"), this was in fact a D backup.

I have tried deleting all the backups and starting again from the beginning but the problem simply recurs.

I had the same setup on previous versions of Acronis True Image and never had this problem. Does anyone have an idea what might be going on here?

Many thanks.

This looks like a pb with the internal database of ATI. It is easy to create this issues when backup files or settings are tweaked by the user, for example.
- shut down ATI
- go to c:\programdata\Acronis\trueimagehome\database
- rename the archives.xml file archives.OLD
- launch ATI and see if the pb subsists

If still there, you might have to delete your existing backup tasks within ATI before step 1. You can move existing tin you want to keep to another directory prior to that, if needed.
