Unable to boot up from the Bootable Rescue CD

I am using Acronis True Image 10 Home & I want to take an image of my C drive. I direct my PC to boot up from the CD/DVD drive & the Acronis start screen appears. I click on the Acronis screen to open up Acronis , the screen changes to an Acronis Logo, Loading Please wait.... & nothing further happens. I have had this happen recently & I was advised by the forum to disconnect all other USB cables & use a USB port @ the rear of my PC. This I have done but it ain't working for me this time though it worked a couple of months ago!
Please help.

I'm getting a similar error while attempting to run the ATI 2010 bootable recovery disk on my wife's ASUS N51Vn laptop. It says it is loading, then hangs.

I used the bootable recovery disk from ATI Home 2009, build 9,615, and it works fine on that computer. Restoring a backup now.
