Unable to Clone from HD to SSD w/Acronis please help

Thread needs solution

I have True Image 2013 I just bought to clone my old HD to my new OCZ Agility 4 240 GB SSD drive.

I have updated the Firmware on the new drive and is formatted for NTFS just as my old HD is. the new SSD drive is loaded in the second HD bay of my laptop and appears in my computer and works flawlessly.

Here are the issues I'm having.. When I try to Clone using Windows to do the reboot and load Acronis, it tells me my drive hasnt intialized and do I want to continue to wait for it to do so, I click yes, still, says samething, I click yes again, twice, to no avail.

So, then I created a bootable disk with Acronis and boot from the boot disk I created to start Acronis. Acronis program says I only have one hard drive available and I must have two to clone..

So, I then take the SSD drive out of the laptop, put it into a 2.5" external case and run it off USB.

I repeat all steps and still, same issues.

I do not know what else to do or try.. I've never had this much issue before with Acronis .

please help

ok.. I was able to fix my problem and this may be helpful for others.. I ended up using True Image to setup my disk partition, then I went into Windows Disk Management and formatted the drive under NTFS.. after doing all that, I was able to run Clone under windows and everything works fine

Just a note - when cloning an OS drive it is advisable to begin the clone from the recovery CD, so that Windows cannot lock any drives or files.
