Unable to complete TI Home installation

Thread needs solution

Right at the end of the installation process I get an error message "Setup cannot copy the file timntr_2k.sys". I have determined the location of 2 versions of this file but pointing the app to those does not work.

I regret "upgrading" to TI 10, the previous version worked just fine!

Any ideas about how to fix this please?

Thanks

Adrian

Hello Adrian,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

Please install Acronis True Image to some computer temporarily, navigate to \WINDOWS\system32\drivers, find timntr.sys file, copy it to another folder, rename the copy to timntr_2k.sys and point your Windows Repair Installation wizard to this file.

Can't Acroinis just provide him a link to the necessary file?

Well Scott is dead right!  I am living in a hotel in the Philippines, using my laptop, and have no ready access to another computer. There are many internet cafes but of course I can't install anything on those.

There must be another way ... surely?

Thanks

Adrian

This really is BS.

Why do I need to install this program on another system just to get a file that should be made available by Acronis.

Has anyone found this file through another source?

Thanks

Jeff

If I could figure out how to send and PMing in here I would send you the file somehow!

Poor show Acronis.

I think you just click somewhere below the user's name and a little menu with the PM feature will come up.  You can ask for an email address to email attach it to the OP.

Oh, it's the little whiteish/blueish rectangle at the very bottom of the section where the user name is.
