Unable to get TrueImage to start itself or a task automatically / Windows 7

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I hope you guys can help me and this hasn´t been discussed before and I was just too blind to find it...

After making the first backup of my important folders, I´d like to have them backuped using the

incremental method. I have created a task for this which is supposed to run the backup once a day,

and if the computer is off at that time, start the task on the next startup.

But now, the task will not start, even if the last run of the task is older than one day.

I assume it is because TrueImage will not start automatically, even though I have it in the "Autostart"-

Folder, because it requires typing in the Admin-Password manually, and I can only change this by

setting User-Account-Security-Setting to the lowest level (This is really NOT recommended).

Is there a method to get the task to run automatically or to get acronis to start automatically when

starting windows???? A friend of mine uses Vista and doesn´t have this problem, although he uses

a high user-Account-Security-Level. I´m using windows 7 release candidate, which otherwise

runs perfectly. Thanks for your suggestions and your help....

You shouldn't need to have any Acronis entry in the Startup folder, TI runs as a Service so the first thing to check is that the services are running.

Win+R   'services.msc' (without the quote marks) then check that  Acronis Scheduler2 and RPC are running and set to automatic.

Then check in MSCONFIG that schedhlp, TrueImageMonitor are ticked and running.

If these all appear OK, then you might need to download the scheduler program which is listed in the Acronis sticky topic.
