Unable to have serial number accepted
I have paid for an upgrade to 2013. However, when I enter the serial number given for the 2013 upgrade, I am asked to enter the 2012 serial number. When I do that I get the message incorrect serial number. I am going round in circles getting nowhere with my attempts to install this software.
Can any one in Acronis Support advise me as to which are the serial numbers I should choose?

I bought a family pack TrueImage11.8053_s_en.exe. It wants to do automatic backups but since I do not have the external hard drive connected for safety reasons they fail. When I could not get rid of the failed backups file (because they do not exist) I tried uninstalling. I then tried to re-install but when it asks for the serial number it will not paste the whole serial number in. I have gone back to company and my account as described above and get the same serial number. I copy and it still will not paste the complete serial number in again. I can not type it in either past where the paste in stops.
update: Have just discovered my serial number problem is I am trying to install earlier version software with 2014 software serial number. Have located correct software and have been able to install correct serial number. Still confused on how to set it up for manual initiated backups. When the backup window shows "schedule; Turn on" does that mean when I turn PC on or does it mean manual operation when I click on backup now button on right? Thanks in advance for help.

exgovie,
If using version 2014 and task reads "Schedule:Turn on", this indicates the task is "Not Scheduled".
Backup can be initiated only via the "Back up Now" option.
If the task reads a specific time, then the task is scheduled and backiup will run at designated time.

Thanks for confirming what I thought. This is a different way from earlier versions. Why do they have to keep changing.

I bought Acronis True Image probably in late 2012 or early 2013, and maybe as late as 2014 (but I doubt 2014) . I had intense difficulty getting the 20 digit serial number accepted, and finally something happened that allowed me to make my first backup. I don't really remember if I ever got the S/N entered. I never made another backup after that.
Recently I moved to a Condo and did extensive downsizing of household items. I lost a lot of stuff, including software boxes. The Acronis True Image box is still unfound.
I fired up Acronis to begin the backup process once again after having had scares from Microsoft Updates seriously disrupting my computer behavior. I was able to update to Acronis True Image 2015. I managed to handle the lost information on my Acronis Password.
However, now the system wants me to input my S/N, and the system told me that it could not locate any serial number under my email jdbuch123@gmail.com. I have used this same email for close to years now. So, this seems to confirm that my original serial number couldn't be input at whatever time it was that I tried to install the original version.
Evidently, this inability to enter serial numbers is somewhat old, but maybe not all that common. I would appreciate help in getting around this problem. I bought Acronis True Image because it seemed the best solution at the time or purchase. I would like Acronis to still be the best solution. I would like to solve my old serial number problem, while I am at it.

James,
Follow my signature link 9 below. Once you sign into your aacount, you should have access to all your serial numbers which you have registed. Also available will be the installation download files for any version which you have registered.
To have this informaton available now, you needed to have registered your serial number for each of your purchases.
The easiest way to handle the input of the serial is to use the copy/paste from clipboard method--do not attempt to type.
