Unable to open, to uninstall, to repair or reinstall...
Hey there,
In Jan 2015 I in stalled Acronis True Image 2015 to my laptop to do a folder backup and a system backup to my external HDD. In the beginning it worked well - at least I think so because I never used the backups.
Maybe 9 months ago I realised that I´m not able to open the program to do some adjustments or similar. I tried from my desktop link and from C:Programme(x86)/Acronis/... as well. But as the backups (full and incremental) are made (I checked my external HDD) I didn´t mind so far.
But 3 months ago I realised that the program stopped to create the folder backups (system backups still worked). Actually I wanted to solve the problem, but wasn´t able to open start page of the program.
A reparation by the disc also didn´t work. It told me that it was successfully repaired the program, but I still wasn´t able to open it.
Then I tried to deinstall. Primary by the button on the Acronis-window during reparation (didn´t work...), secondary by the windows system (also successless!).
Ok, then doing it manually by deleting all program files in C:Programme(X86)/... Only one file left (version_page.dll) where the computer told me it´s still in use...
Then trying to install ATI 2015 again. Only possibility was to repair or to deinstall. Ok, please try to repair. Information came that reparation was successfull. As you can imagine, the program doesn´t work. Also I don´t have any files on my C: except the xxx.dll. I´m not sure WHAT this fucking installation guide was repairing, but for sure nothing from Acronis. I think, the "Success"-Information is only fake!
So, what can I do? Wasn´t able to open the program, nothing there what the installation guide could repair and no possibility by the guide to do a new installation...
I´m completely fed up with spending so much time in this program so successless... And, as I also had problems in the beginning (for sure AFTER 30 days) I won´t spend too much time in future in this program. If I don´t find some useful answer in here, I´ll kick this program into...
Thanks for some ideas,
Christoph
