Unable to re-install Acronis True Image Home 2009 - could not open key... error message

I recently had to re-install Acronis True Image Home 2009 and I kept getting an error message along the lines of could not open key...etc etc so I used the manual uninstall insructions from Acronis and removed the program. When I try and reinstall Acronis I still get the same error message:

Could not open key:
UNKNOWN\Components\32DB2F8A9B74EDF479CDEC1921959BA4\958E0E1DD64F80744AD1DE090C1C28A2. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

I have seen similar issues with people installing true image home 2010, but with a slightly different key. I have seen a solution to there issue involving regedit and altering permissions, but I wasnt sure how to find this key and indeed if the same solution will work? help, I have not had any issues re-installing acronis before and not sure why I am suddenly faced with this. The only thing I did diffenrently with the previous install of Acronis was put it on a sepeate partition.
