Here is what i did
DO NOT SELECT ALL THREE (MBR, SYSTEM RESERVED, HD) partitions at the same time
first select mbr

it worked BUT IT SHOULD BE DOCUMENTED IN ACRONIS!!! 2012 version 7119

Dear akm expert, I have the same problem:
I often made the Backup of the system volume in ATIH 11 and restored it on another drive (HDD or SSD) easily with no problems.
- Now I changed to ATIH 12 (for Uefi-support), but I cannot recover even on another MBR-SSD.
- I only have my HDD with the backup and the new to restore system SSD attached.
- The recovery procedure ask me (my text is German, I try to translate) about the
. backup archive (on Vol 1),
. the recovery method (complete Volume),
. the source (Vol 2, MBR and Track 0, NTFS System (C)
. details about Part 2-1
. details on Part C, why these two different details? I do not have that, when I recover on the same SSD, from where the backup is.
==> the forward key is not highlighted so I cannot continue.
==> Does it mean, ATIH does not any more support the recovery on a different hard drive?
Any idea is welcome! Konrad

Hallo kfranzk

If the new X-79 system with a normal "MBR" (no UEFI "GPT") to be restored, I would download Intel's "Inf Update Utility" and unpack it onto a USB flash drive, when you boot from the CD ATIH 2012 PP and you have enabled Universal Restore, you able to load the drivers from the USB stick. The new X-79 system I in "Advanced Mode" would be - "Sata Mode" - set "AHCI Mode".
I hope the translation is usefull.

AKM_Expert,
Did you make the image as a complete disk or per partition?
Are you restoring using the recovery CD?
- Log in to post comments
complete disk but it has 3 components actual disk, mbr and "system reserved"
yes using recovery CD

I don't have access to my copy of TIH at this moment, but you should have two option available, one to restore the complete disk and the per partition one as you mention above.
You need to click on the partition link to change to complete disk.

yes if i click on complete disk the program DOES NOT allow me to pick one...i can only pick both drives...it is automatic.if i pick both nothing shows up under "settings for C" and i cannot proceed because >>> next >> button is greyed out...

How are the two disk connected in the PC?
Have you tried connecting the new one externally?
