Unable to restore C: and D: on Netbook

I had to fix some charging problems on my netbook and therefor I had to send in the Asus eeepc901 for guarantee. Therefore I made a backup with Acronis home 11. The backup of C: was made on SD card, the backup of D: was made on an external harddisk (Western Digital).
The netbook now came back from Asus service with a new installed system (WinXP) and all my data and programms are errased. So I tried to restore the data with my backups. First I installed Acronis home 11 on D: (cause there is only 4 GB on C: on the eeepc901) and started the programm. When I tried to open the backup I got the message, that the file is damaged. I got this message from the file on the SD card as well as from the Harddisk, this seems to me impossible, cause all other data on SD card and on Harddisk are ok.
I also tried the Acronis Home 10.0 with the same result. It is shown mistake modul 64, Code 2(0x400002): archive cannot be opened for reading and code 1(0x400001): archive is not valid or type is not supported
I also tried to read the .tib file on my desktop PC, it also could not be read.
What can I do to restore my data?
