I have had a nightmare 2 weeks trying to get my TI 2011 upgrade to work and finally gave up and asked for a refund which I have now had.

However I thought I had uninstalled Acronis 2011 but it just wont go away. Windows uninstallation just hangs so I tried the Acronis cleanup utility which said it had removed it but it hasnt! Its still showing up in the Windows 7 programs list.

This wouldnt be a problem EXCEPT that I want to reinstall Acronis TI 2010 so I can access some old backups. The installer won't run because it says I have 2011 installed.

Just to add salt in the wound, because I have had a refund of my 2011 licence, they wont let me even open a support ticket to ask them how to remove it!!!!

try the following: –

Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller (do a Google search). This is a very safe and excellent program. I use it for all my un-installations. It can eliminate all residual registry entries left behind by most uninstallers.

Find your original install file for Acronis 2011 and reinstall it.

Use Revo UnInstaller in advanced mode to uninstall Acronis 2011.

Now try installing Acronis 2010.
