I am using 2012 home plus to do a universal restore to a different computer - DELL OPTIPLEX 780. I have the drivers for the new computer on a flash drive. I am getting the error message that it cannot find this file:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2822&SUBSYS_04201028&REV_02

i searched online and gfound that it has to do with this:
Intel ICH8R/ICH9R/ICH10R/DO SATA RAID Controller

I have a sata controller driver in the flash drive. If I ignore, the OP system (XP) does not fully load and I get a blue screen.

I need to turn this around fast.

Anyone with thoughts?

I had the same problem with ATI2011 and I'm pretty confident that it is because of the OEM locked version of Windows you're trying to restore on the new hardware. That version of Windows was not made to run on any hardware other than the OEM machine it came with. It doesn't have all the files of a standard Windows installation.
