unsupported hard disk drives, yet I don't have a dynamic disk

Thread needs solution

Hello, when starting true image home 2010 on my macbook pro under windows 7 (x64 enterprise edition), I get the dreaded message: "Acronis True Image Home has detected unsupported hard disk drives. Acronis True Image...."

In my former installation of windows 7 on this machine (I had to redo it), with windows 7 home instead, I got no such problem.

Note that the disk does have an MBR (created with refit to mirror the GUID layout).

I need to make a backup urgently. What can I do?

Hello Peter!

Thank you for finding time to join us and report about the issue! I entirely understand how inconvenient the situation is, and will do my best to help you.

I regret to inform you that officially MAC hardware is not supported by Acronis Standalone Programs. You can find more details in this KB article. As a workaround I can suggest you to try using the Bootable Media, but we still don't guarantee that it will work.

Acronis products will work in virtual environment created by means of Parallels Desktop. In this case, however, using Acronis products you will be able to manage only the virtual environment, and not the Apple Mac itself. For additional information please visit http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/premium/

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
