Update 2: Syncing around LAN broken yet AGAIN
Set up a 3 PC LAN for a charity using Microsoft Live Mesh to sync 20+GB of files between all the PCs. Needed something that didn't sync everything to the cloud because of very limited monthly upload/download internet quota available at site. Microsoft replaced Live Mesh with Sky Drive that didn't allow syncing around the LAN. So I bought Acronis True Image because it did. But it works very poorly - there are continual error messages saying files "can't" be synched that don't say what the file is and why. Updated to ATI2014 hoping you'd fixed the product. You hadn't. Went to update 1, which created duplicated, and triplicated, entries of what PCs have to be synced between, and thoroughly confused ATI2014 resulting in a whole lot of duplicated files. Now I get a message saying there's another update, I download and install it - build 6673) and it has completely broken the syncing around the LAN. All three PCs now tell me they are the only ones in the sync, and at the same time tell me I can't add any of the other PCs because, supposedly, they are already in that sync. And even if I could, because there's three PCs that each have their own copy of the files, every file would be triplicated. Its a godawful mess.
Don't Acronis actually test ANYTHING before they foist it on their PAYING customers. I have had a gutful of this.

I am pleased to say I have totally solved the problem with ATI 2014 that I described above.
I did it by uninstalling Acronis' product and installing AeroFS. AeroFS doesn't just work where True Image doesn't, it works fast, it tells you what its doing, they provide support for their customers, and the product even sorted out the mess that True Image created by not working.
I thoroughly recommend that anyone thinking of buying Acronis True Image to do file synching around a LAN go to the AeroFS web site and download and use it.
