What is the right procedure to update ATI from 11 to 2009 version (uninstall manually old version, clean registers etc.)?

I appreciate your feedback.

Theoretically you should be able to install over the top, however any tasks you have made will end up in the unscheduled bin and you will need to reschedule them.

If you prefer the uninstall route, then be aware that you'll need your old licence and your new licence available if you have purchased an upgrade version of 2009.

I suggest making a disk image before installing over the top, if something does go pear shaped  (those poor downtrodden  pears) , then you can restore back, uninstall and start again.

Don't forget to make a new restore CD and test it.

Hello Bob1967,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

It’s better to completely uninstall previous version before installing Acronis True Image Home 2009 through Add/Remove Programs. As a result you will avoid any possible issues with installation. As for your schedule tasks you can copy them from this directory (by default) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\TrueImage\Scripts and paste to the appropriate directory of Acronis True Image Home 2009. But you will have to manually edit the tasks to make them functional, so it’s easier to create new ones.
