Update: Disabling Acronis True Image Monitor (TrueImageMonitor.exe) resolves PC hang after file backup

Thread needs solution

Update: I have the same problem (see below) with the Acronis True Image 2015 True Image Monitor in Windows 10 as I had in Windows 8.1, and disabling True Image Monitor also works with Windows 10. However, doing some further experimentation and observation shows that The True Image Monitor process does not complete what it is doing at the same time Acronis True Image 2015 completes a backup. Opening the Windows Task Manager and observing the level of Memory used by the True Image Monitor, one can see that memory is released very slowly with time. When the memory usage drops low enough the True Image Monitor icon in the notification area of the task bar disappears. In some cases it took nearly 40 minutes for the True Image Monitor memory usage to drop low enough. Once the icon disappears indicating that the True Image Monitor process has completed its task, my PCs return to full functionality. Before then all three of my PCs run extremely sluggishly and if I try to run any other program, strange behavior ensues. Perhaps the problem is only with my three PCs, but I am surprised that Acronis has not seen this problem. By the way, I only see the problem when I run a manual backup. When a scheduled backup runs , it usually runs at night and I do not see the problem in the morning. That is because True Image Monitor has time to complete its task before I access the PC's again. I did not have this problem with Acronis True Image 2014.

Eureka! Through trial and error I have found that disabling the start up of True Image Monitor (TrueImageMonitor.exe) of Acronis True Image 2015 eliminates the hang problem I started experiencing when I upgraded from ATI2014 to ATI2015. I will shortly be updating to Windows 10 and will determine if I still need to keep True Image Monitor from starting. Acronis True Image Monitor seems to have undergone a significant change from version 2014 to version 2015.

The problem I have been experiencing: I have two desktops and one laptop all running Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit. All have had the same problem. With Acronis True Image Monitor running, and after the backup completes, the PCs become extremely sluggish. I can usually sign out and sign back in and the problem disappears. However if I do not log out and attempt to run another program, the PCs enter unpredictable and extremely strange states where nothing functions as expected.
