Upgrading to True Image 2013 from 2012 question
I recently bought True Image 2012 and was wondering if it necessary to upgrade it to True Image 2013 as I only see only gaining Windows 8 support as an added feature after comparing versions. Is there anything else I missed in my comparison? Also isn't True Image 2012 due to be updated to Support Windows 8 in the near future?

If True Image 2012 works well for you, and if the bootable Rescue Media supports your hardware, then you may have no reason to upgrade at this point.
Not Supported or Not Compatible? In other words will it work with Window 8 but it not supported by Acronis?

No Techman, it will not work with Windows 8 correctly, mounting won't work properly and some disk accessing will fail.
I think Windows 8 will not allow 2012 to be installed now that W8 is released, it did in the RC versions.

I would also add that the 2013 version contained fixes for many (some??) of the 2012 issues. I would recommend using 2013 over 2012 by a large percentage--especially in the daily upkeep retention and deletion of ongoing backups.

Colin is right. Windows 8 and 8 Pro will not allow Acronis 2012 to be installed, or to stay installed in the case of an upgrade.
