URGENT - BSOD after canceling Try & Decide!

Thread needs solution

Hi everyone... I have a big problem here.

So I had Try&Decide running. I restarted the computer and selected "discard changes". But then I did something stupid... I was in a BIG hurry and I pressed CTRL+ALT+DELETE while Win7 was booting (about 3 secs after selecting to discard changes).

Since then, I get the following BSOD:

STOP: 0x0000007E
(0xFFFFFFFFC0000005
0xFFFFF88001D473C7
0xFFFFF880009A8B58
0xFFFFF880009A83B0)

Initially a workaround was to select "last known good configuration", and after that, the computer would boot up fine.... until I shut it down. Then not even that worked. I can still access safe mode tho.

Can you PLEASE help me fix it? Its super urgent cos this is my working computer and I have some important projects to finish :(

I'm on Windows 7x64 using Acronis True Image Home 2010.

Thanks in advance!

Do you have a backup image from before this happened? You could try restoring it.

You could try using System Restore from the Windows 7 DVD (or Safe Mode) and try to get back to a point that works. If enabled, you should be able to go further back than Last known good configuration.

I recommend creating a current backup of the drive before trying anything if you have important data or data you don't want to lose on it.
