USB 3.0 Keyboard not seen by TI2015 Rescue Media

Thread needs solution

Hello. I have recently upgraded my keyboard to a Corsair K70 RGB model. I have it plugged in to a USB 3.0 port on my PC which is running Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit.

My problem is that when I boot from my rescue media, the keyboard is not 'seen'. I have to connect an old PS2 model to be able to restore/backup when using the rescue disk.

I assume it is something to do with drivers, but as this is my first USB 3.0 keyboard, I am at a loss.

Can any one help please?

Would creating a boot UEFI CD as mentioned in the Sticky work?

Thanks.

Well, after being overwhelmed with replies, I decided to create a UEFI boot disk/USB as in the sticky above.

It worked and both my keyboard (USB 3.0) and mouse (USB 2.0), are now usable when I boot from the removable media.
