USB bootable 32 GB Flash drive with recovery file

Thread needs solution

Hi, I hope you can clear things up for me. I created a USB bootable flash drive using Grub4Dos. After creation, I ran the Acronis Media Builder to create a rescue media. After successfully creating the media, I ran Acronis backup using the USB bootable media, created a Full backup and stored it in the USB flash drive. I noticed that Acronis created 4 files like as follows: Each sized to 4GB.
Toshiba_full_b1_s1_v1
Toshiba_full_b1_s1_v2
Toshiba_full_b1_s1_v3
Toshiba_full_b1_s1_v4
They are verified to be valid. My question is, if I do a recovery, which file should I select. I assume that the backup shown was split into 4.
Sorry for the long post, and Thanks everyone for your help.

You are correct, the application split the backup into 4 files because of the USB drive being formatted using FAT. You will need to restore ALL 4 tib files during ONE restore operation to complete a recovery of your backup.

Thanks for your response. So, when you need to restore, you will need to select volume 1-Toshiba_full_b1_s1_v1( cause you can only select one file) and I assume that it will pick the rest? Or can you select multiple volumes (in my case 4 volumes)?
This is the same case scenario - https://forum.acronis.com/forum/8090

Thanks

If your target storage disk were formated as NTFS, files would be saved as a single file.

Grub is only the boot mechanism and possibly holder for the tib ISO files but once TI has started,
you can choose any other disks or usb disks can be the target. The usb sticks can be formated to NTFS.
I have Grub4Dos and multiple version of TI iso files on one of my multiple interenal disks which is 750gb and ntfs.

Bartolome, when you restore it doesn't matter which of the 4 files you select. The files contain metadata which includes the number of versions included in the backup. All files that are part of the backup set function as a single entity.
The thread you linked is indeed the same case scenario.

Thank you so much, Daniel and to all who responded. I will try to format my other USB sticks to NTFS.
