USB Connected HD Not Detected
I've connected a laptop HDD to my PC using a USB 2.0 SATA Cable. Windows Disk Management detect the HD and partitions just fine and so does other disk backup software like DriveImage XML. I purchased TI 2013 thinking this was the best and latest and greatest, but it will not detect the USB connected HDD.
I'm using Windows XP Media Center Edition, SP3
Thanks.

I'm using the Windows GUI. I'm using the front USB ports on the PC. Kind of hard to get to the ones in the back but can try if you think that is all it is.
BTW, thanks for being a volunteer and helping out dopes like me.

Oh, The problem with the HD is I'm getting errors reading sectors 63-66 and have ran chkdsk to try and fix but errors still occur. Any better check disk software out there? And can it be put on bootable USB?

Run chkdsk with /r option, which will try to identify bad sectors. It will take a while, let it run 'till completion.
Also run a drive checking utility from the drive manufacturer, as those sometimes catch errors missed by chkdsk.

I've not found any decent Toshiba software that can create a bootable CD to check.
