USB hard drive not seen TI v.10 booting from rescue CD
I was going to create a total C: image backup after booting from the rescue CD, however
when I get to the point of selecting an image file location, the USB hard drive is not there.
I then booted normally to windows XP, the USB drive is there, and I created the image. My worry is if I ever need to use this image it won't work, the hard drive will not be detected, so I can't restore it. I am using the latest TI v.10 build #4942.
Also, if I try to create image backup of a My Documents folder, it always aborts with the message "...NT file in use". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. If I download lastest 2010 trial version, do I first need to uninstall TI v.10 ??

Yes!!!!! Uninstall v10 first.
When booted from the 4942 CD, turn off your external and then turn it back on. Sometime you can get drive recognition that way.

The drive is a Seagate 500gb SATA mounted in an external enclosure, could I just purchase an IDE type external, would that be recognized when booting from rescue disk?
Thanks.
