The "USB" issue - I found an odd work around

I have been reading these boards for a long time looking for a fix for the "USB" issue.
I define the usb issue as this:

1. ATIH 2012 (6154)
2. inserting a USB flash drive (UFD)
3. The UFD does not mount
4. Windows 7 64bit sees the UFD in device manager.
5. In device manager the UFD is listed under Disk Drives with a Yellow Exclamation Point.
6. At this point just give up because the only fix that truly works is to completely remove ATIH 2012.

Or

Open up a virtualy machine in VMware Workstation and now your USB flashdrives, card readers, etc. will work.
Kind a pain but I have made a large investement in this company, yearly updates and multiple licenses, etc. So I am not going to give up yet.

I do hope Acronis comes up with a solution.
