USB wired Mouse and Keyboard not working on backup

Hello,
We are using Acronis True Image Home 2012 and trying to back up a new HP Elitedesk 800 which has a windows 7 image. We are booting into an Acronis CD and then able to access True image via the intro page. The problem is that we can go no further with the next page. WE cannot chose Back up or recovery with the wired keyboard and mouse.
I know this is a common problem and I have gone through the forums but they all seem to be pertaining to wireless usb not wired.
We have used this before and normally do not have any issue on other models of PC.
Have tried F11 and typed in various commands that have been recommended but still does not seem to work. Have tried various keyboards / mice and all usb ports. No luck.

Please help as we have spent a lot of time on this.
