User/Password Request

Thread needs solution

I am a newbie - installed TI this morning and immediately ran into a problem. When the One-Click Protection dialogue came up it requested a user name and password. A user name was automatically entered into the panel. My computer is not password protected. I do not enter a password when Windows starts and I do not wish to have to. Does this mean I cannot use some features of TI? When I installed I ticked "All Users". Should I uninstall and reinstall and tick only this user? Would this help?
Guidance will be much appreciated as I am not technically savvy.

TI needs to be able to log on to the system, to do this it uses your log on details.

What can be done is to enter a password for Windows and then set Windows to automatically log you on, everything would appear as it does now as far as accessing your system is concerned.

Installing for single user only won't make any difference to this part of TI.

Just one gotcha for many systems that don't use a Windows log on - if you ever need to use Windows Console to sort out a problem, you're stuck as Windows then requires an Admin Password or a password that has Admin levels to log on to your system so that you can repair it.

Jay,

What happens if you leave the password fields empty (I mean if the log in to Windows is not password protected)? The program should accept the empty password field.

Thank you.
