Using Acronis to restore Windows System image windows 7 UEFI

Thread needs solution

The restoration process completes successfully however it is impossible to create another system image or windows backup using the built in Windows Backup utility. The process fails with an error message referencing SPP and VSS.
Looking through what Windows thinks it should include in the system image the EFI partition is no longer available to select.
Deleting and recreating the EFI partition then copying the EFI folder back onto it restores the System Image creation option (Windows backup is still not working).
This was tested on a clean installed Windows 7 Ultimate with only Avira antivirus and Comodo firewall installed, no other applications. The restoration process was completed from bootable Acronis media. Options for restoration was "whole disk" and tried selecting none of the mbr option, just one or both. (when Acronis asks what to restore the EFI and Windows partitions are listed as two separate disks, each with an option for MBR)
