Using schedmgr.exe regularly
Have an older machine running 2010 reliably. Often I'll get at most two mystery tasks that appear in the log as failures. Years ago I came across a post or KB article that described how to use schedmgr to match the hidden task with the one that failed - then delete it. So I regurarly have to do that.
What's odd is that I only know about these mystery tasks because a message is posted to an app on my machine - via NET SEND. All of my existing jobs use this method to report their results. Don't know why/how the mystery task inherit this setting, but they do. The application option for pre/post commands are blank.
When I run "get list", I see 40 tasks. Adding up existing scheduled and unscheduled tasks in TIH, I get 24.
Afraid to try much more with schedmgr for fear of messing up the existing tasks that have run without issue for many years.
Any ideas on what to try? How to cleanup the task list without affecting my existing (real) tasks?

Couldn't find a way to map existing tasks with the GUID's in get list.
Zapped them all. Worried a bit about these though...
User 2 (NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM):
2-1 C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\prl_stat.exe for_scheduler
2-2 *AdmInvoker*
2-3 *AdmInvoker* *AdmInvoker* update_winlog
2-4 *AdmInvoker* *AdmInvoker* refresh_backups
2-5 *AdmInvoker* *AdmInvoker* email_notifications
2-6 *AdmInvoker*
2-7 *AdmInvoker* *AdmInvoker* update_winlog
2-8 *AdmInvoker* *AdmInvoker* refresh_backups
Zap got them too.
Anyway, when into unscheduled as noted in the KB and edited/scheduled the desired tasks. That created a duplicate, so I deleted the duplicate under unscheduled. Now I've got 5 tasks in TIH and in "get list". Also put into place 8.0.0.8216 of schedul2.exe.
Time will tell.
