Using System Clean Up removes the ability to Recover
After accomplishing a disc backup, Acronis shows the disc that was backed upped along with total size, version, type, location, etc... On the right side of this block of information there are to options: Back up now and Recover.
When I run Acronis tools "System Clean Up," the option to "Recover" is removed and there is no longer the ability to recover.
Something needs to be addressed to keep Acronis's own tools from disgarding the Recovery option after runing the System Clean up function.
Also, how do you go about permanently removing the message on the bottom reminding you your on-line backup has expired? I don't think I need to be reminded of this eavery time I open Acronis.
Thanks

Assuming that the cleanup did not delete your actual backup files, you should be able to restore either from the Bootable media CD which is the best method of recovering your system drive;and you can browse for backup to your backup folder and choose the option to "Add to backup list".
If you have no plans to use the Non-stop backup or the Sync function, you can go into your services and both stop and change the service to manual. Afterwards, you can edit the backup settings for the non-stop backup and use the delete option or remove from list option.

The actual files are not deleted as they are on a separate external drive. My concern is if I want to restore any particular program or file, the Acronis software on my original hard drive no longer has the recover option after running the System Clean Up. You shouldn't have to go thru a bootable disc to recover a single file.
I have tried looking for this "services" tab or menu on Acronis software and on-line under "My Account." I can not find the options you referenced. Could you be more exact?
Thanks

This procedure will stop the two features from working or interfering. Apply the procedure to only one is one of the features are being used by you.
Type into the Start/Run Window
services.msc
This will open the services module.
Double click on the
Acronis Non-stop service listing.
Click on the Stop option
In the Startup type windows, change to automatic to manual.
click on the apply and ok buttons.
Repeat the same procedure on the Acronis Sync agent service.

You do not need to the missing Recover option to recover a few files.
1. You can use the Tools & Utilities "Mount" option. Once mounted, the backup is listed in Windows explorer as another disk with a drive letter and you can drag the files from the virtual to the normal. When completed, use the unmount option also listed in the tools & utilities menu or right clock on the mounted drive letter and choose dismount.
2. Another method is to go the backup file via Windows Explorer.
Right click on the *.tib file and choose the Explore option off the right click menu. You can then browse within the backup file to the its folder and drag or copy the file into memory and paste into the normal hard drive.
3. As I mentioned in my first post, I believe you also can use the Browse for backup option. Once found, right click on the *.tib file and chose the option "add to backup list". This should cause the backup to appear on your task menu and you should have a Recover option. Slight correction: instead of right click, just highlight the specific *.tib file and the "add to backup list" is at the bottom of the screen.
