Validating failures? ATI 2014

Thread needs solution

Firstly let me admit to not knowing my way round ATI 2014 yet. Installed only two days ago.
I have ATI to backup twice each day (full backup) - this is no problem, and does as it should.

Windows 7 own backup image is timed for once per day - which it does.
When I push 'go' - the TI icon, I show the backups on the screen as expected.
If I use the control/instruction validate all - the ATI is confirmed as valid, however the windows own backup is deemed to be corrupt!
What setting or instruction have I missed? You help would be greatly appreciated

Colin:

If I am understanding your post correctly, when you use ATI 2014 to validate a backup made by Windows 7 image backup, ATI declares it to be invalid. Is this correct?

If so, ATI can only validate its own backups. It was not designed to validate Windows 7 image backups.

Thanks for the prompt information Mark - much appreciated. You did understand my post correctly - my inquiry was made because of my unfamiliarity with 2014.
Your response clears the reservation I had.
Thanks again
