Validation needs more than 8000 DAYS

Thread needs solution

Good evening,
Today I made a back-up of my system with some additional options :
- screen snapshot,
- validation when back-up is finished.
Result : after the back-up the validation began but never finished.
It began correctly but continued with 101%, 102% and so on. The remaining time changed from some minutes to more than 8000 days.
The only way to stopp is to cancel the back-up and restart it without this option.

Hello Jacques,

Thank you for reporting about the issue, I will be glad to assist you with it.

I have checked all our internal resources, and found no known issue that would match your description. So the situation requires investigation. Could you please gather the following data: Acronis Info, Procmon and where the backup is located, - and provide us with this information? These logs will help us to localize the cause of the problem, which is vital for finding a solution.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with, we'll be glad to.

Thank you!

Hi Yana,
Many thanks for your reply and assistance.
I downloaded : AcronisInfo, Procmon and Acronis report.
Result :
- Acronisinfos crashes when generating reports (see screen snapshots)
- Acronis Report crashes

I suffered a similar problem today. Same symptoms.

I scheduled a new backup, including validation when backup finishes. No screen shot.

Mine was up to 104% and 40something thousand days (I was out).

I think its a bit late for procmon now, as this happened to me earlier today and I've rebooted since then.

The attempted backup was to an external western digital drive.

I've made the report, now that I've seen this thread (but a few hours after the problem and I've rebooted etc.) but am hesitant to post that much information about my machine to a public forum.

UPDATE: If anyone's interested, I just ran the same backup again today, let it run past 105% or 110% and was informed that it had (finally) completed.

There is no further explanation of this peculiar behaviour...
How can ATI be finished when passsing 100% ???
I have the same problem, and I drop ATI if passing 100% but still running.
