versions_page.dll failed to register [DUPLICATE]

hi

i cant seem to get TIH to install, the system is Windows 7 (32bit)
everytime it seems to prompt 'versions_page.dll failed to register' and rollback the installation, any ideas?

Thank you for joining us here on our Forum. We're sorry for the inconvenience caused by the installation issue at hand, however, I'll be glad to help you in resolving it.

The reason why the installation comes to a halt is that "versions_page.dll" file fails to register with your machine during the installation process, and a subsequent rollback operation takes place. Instances of this sort are not common, as the installation should go through without any issues. We may need to look into this to further identify why the respective DLL file failed to register. In the meantime, I propose a workaround to help you get your product up and running. This will involve a manual registration of the aforementioned file and a restart of the installation procedure, which should solve the issue permanently.

Prior to registering the "versions_page.dll" file, please download the very same file taken from another installation pack attached to this post.

From thereon please follow the below steps to successfully complete the registration procedure:

1) Extract and copy the "versions_page.dll" file, attached to this post, to the directory C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\

2) Go to "Start" and type "cmd" in the search field, to run the Command-line Utility. Before running the utility, please right-click on the appearing icon and choose "Run as Administrator" to acquire the required administrative user rights.

3) With the Command-line window open, type in the following commands and hit enter, to register newly copied DLL file with your system: REGSVR32 "C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\versions_page.dll"

4) Install your copy of Acronis True Image Home 2012

HI thanks for getting back to me, ill give it a go and let you know, im pretty sure i tried that and had problems, i extracted the file before it rolled back. ill try again and post any errors, thanks...
