VERY SLOW single file search in volume backups!!

Thread needs solution

I use TIH 2014 Home Premium. I hesitate to upgrade to the 2015 version, since there is a severe problem or bug which has never been fixed for several versions until now (I've been a long-time TIH user for many years):

In the Backup and Recovery tab, when I need to restore one specific file, and therefore I search for a specific file name in the Search field, this opens the 'Backup Explorer' window (Is this the correct term?) and searches the file in this window. I assume that this searches the file name inside the existing TI backups (the TI backups are volume backups) and not on the Windows file system - is this correct? (The poor user interface unfortunately does not specify this). Unfortunately it seems that this search does not work, as it takes HOURS (!) to search for a single file! (I've always aborted the search after two HOURS by terminating the program).

So I think: For what do I need a backup program, when restoring a single file is such a very difficult, time-consuming and painful process?

So unless this problem or bug is not solved, I will start to look for another backup program. Can anybody indicate me such a backup program where this problem does not occur? Thank you!

Peter,
What type of hardware is Acronis installed on (system specs)
How large are the archives you are searching
Where are the TIB files you are searching stored?
