Vista PE and Acronis TI 11 fast boot disk

Thread needs solution

I have read up a lot and just don't get it all.

Vista x64 SP2 and moving to Windows 7 duel boot.

I have TI 11 Home and I want to create a CD that will load Vista PE and only Have Acronis TI on it so that it works with all the drivers on different hardware and works with USB2

The TI disk you make for some reason still only supports USB1 as far as I know.

Perhaps I don't need Vista PE but I just want to put a disk in and backup to external drive and recover to external drive as fast as possible with the broadest range of Hardware.

I have seen PE disks that take forever to load because they have a lot of utilities and applications and that is not what I want.

I just need TI 11 home booted as fast as possible and backing up at full USB2 Speed.

Perhaps I have missed something.

I am getting older so learning is not as easy and forums like boot-land.net seem to give incomplete tutorials and it seems you have to know a lot to be able to ask the right answers.

I am even at a point of upgrading if I can get Acronis to do the above.

Thanks for your time, I would really appreciate any help. I am willing to learn or follow instructions but the help I read in forums seems to have conflicts and work arounds that don't seem consistent.

You may want to consider MustangPEBuilder2 as a simple way to build a WinPE recovery disk with Acronis product support. I agree that a PE-based environment is the best restore environment for Acronis products. Here are Mustang's reasons that he thinks it is better.

Try True Image ver 2009, latest build. It may do all you need. I believe the Trial version is still available.
