W7 hidden partition

Thread needs solution

I've installed XP and W7 on a bi-partitioned HD, with a dualboot.
XP on C: and W7 on D:

But now I'm reading that W7 creates a "hidden" partition during its installation, with boot informations.

How can a FULL HD image been made, including all the partitions, including this "invisible" one?

Choose the disk option (checkmark the disk) for the backup type. See link below.

John:

Grover's reply is correct. But I don't think that you will have a hidden boot partition. If you installed XP first and then installed Windows 7 next, the boot files will be on the XP partition. Take a look using Disk Management (from either operating system) to confirm. You should only see two partitions.

Remember this if you ever consider deleting the XP partition. If you do this you will delete the files necessary to boot into Windows 7.

Thanks GroverH and KOLO!

Really, as the HD has first been pre-formatted & partitioned, and then XP installed on C:\, during the Dualboot installation of W7 on D:\ , NO new hidden partition has been created!

I've already created and tested a TrueImage .tib file including both partitions.
I'ts working fine!

I've also made a .tib file just from C:\ with XP, BEFORE the W7 installation on D:\, making it very easy to go back to the original (just XP on C:\) situation.
