WD acronis trueimage edition 2010- code: 9 A file system error has been found with extended code: 458,780 Run list is corrupted.

Thread needs solution

I am using acronis trueimage wd edition 2010 build 14.010, and when i try and do a clone disk, i am getting the following error

Failed to prepare operations. Error code: 9 'A file system error has been found with extended code: 458,780 Run list is corrupted.

I have run the chkdsk /f and chkdsk /r and both come up clean however when i run the AcronisReport I do see errors in the report

File system error: 28 (Runlist corrupted)

However when i run the AcronisInfo reports and I look at the DiskReport everything is clean

and I don't see the " File system error: 28 (Runlist corrupted)" error. I have tried boot media and i get the same problem.

Any ideas ?

Hello Kathy,

Thank you for finding time to join us and report about the issue, I will do my best to assist you.

The issue with “run list corrupted” may appear as the result of some defragmentation software. Try to disable it temporarily and see if the issue remains.

I would also advise you to contact the vendor of the hard drive, and check it for consistency with the help of the vendor's utilities - this may also help to solve the issue. So far you have done everything you could, and if the Acronis Report returns errors back, then there is something else wrong with the drive, which can be fixed by the vendor's support.

I entirely understand your concern regarding the Acronis Report from Acronis Info. To be honest, sometimes Acronis Info fails to correctly gather the disk data (Acronis Report), thus we always ask to obtain Acronis Disk Report separately.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
