WD RAptor to SSD with ATI 2009 home

Thread needs solution

REading a olot about sector offsets etc when restoring to ssd but I have slightly different issue;

I have a WD Raptor 150G data drive ( no OS) that I want to put on a SSD.

It seems to me that the easiest way would be do do a file copy for WD to SSD rather than a backup.

Is there a better solution using ATI 2009 that will preserve the offset but copy the data. If I understand correctly, if I try to do an image restore of the WD to the SSD it will screw up the offset.

Thanx,

Vic

once you have properly formatted/partitioned the SSD, copying the files will not have any effect on the alignment which would be set during the formatting//partitioning process.
