Well it's official; I checked with Guinness and this is the slowest forum onthe interent
For the last few days, this forum has been a real slog during USA daylight hours. I wonder if Acronis is trying to win over or to alienate customers.

For us in the UK it was down half of yesterday altogether or may be it was so slow it just appeared to be down!

Slow, and getting slower every day. In a week or two it won't work at all. :-(

Thanks guys, I thought it was just me!

There is no excuse for a slow forum. It's either the forum software, server or bandwidth bottleneck somehwere.

It does seem to be getting slower. I suspect it is the server. Downloads from Acronis are generally slower than other sites I use.

Thanks, Alexander. A problem is the best opportunity to show us what you can do.

btw, this forum does not always "Notify me when new comments are posted". I almost missed a reply to a question I posted as OP.

Yes, that feature seems to be not working ... maybe as of 3 or 4 days ago. Could be related to what is making the forum so slow ... someone tinkered with the wrong instruction set.

i will complain further. The forum seems to be unavailable for many hours in the uk. I simply cannot connect for hours on end at times - Why?

Fresh from Cynics Central: Nothing will improve then?

Hope springs eternal. Unfortunately, the same seems to be true of bugs.

It's also frustrating to log on to the Acronis web site and then again when you enter the forum. Must be different hosts. Probably outsourced the forum somewher cheap. This seems all too typical with consumer software products these days.

No surpirse there, as I get older I get more cynical. I'm certain if I ever did get to talk to someone their name would be Steve and I wouldn't understand a word they said.

It's been several weeks since Acronis ditched the Wilders hosted froums and started self-hosting. And still the slowness probs persist. It's hard to believe that Acronis didn't investigate what would be needed for a decent working product before they made the switched. Reminds me of ATI11, released but clearly not ready for prime time.
It's bad enough the support is as slow as it is when people have a problem that isn't dead center in the mainstream, but to have mucked up the alternative that people had to support is just inexcusable. A week or two ago, someone from Acronis said Acronis was aware of the prob and working on it. If that's true, they've been working in vain so far and more's the pity.
