What to do after a Backup and Disc Partition

Okay, so I did a backup and disc partition on my new Seagate hybrid drive. Customer support said I simply needed to swap the hard drive with the new hybrid drive to get this to work. I don't know why given that it's just a single image file and nothing else but I followed his direction. I tried it but the computer isn't booting from the new drive. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
