What product to get

Thread needs solution

Hello I have an HP with an error HD521-2W witch seem to indicate a disk failure. I am going to get a new HD and transfer the content of the failing drive into the new one. Also I have a laptop with an SSD of 64G with programs that I uses but the screen is failing as well ( old). Can i also bring the content of the SSD into the new drive or can I just use it as a dual boot?. If so witch program should I buy?. Thank so much. JC

Hello

Thank you for your post.

If I understand correctly you need to transfer the data from the SSD and HDD to a new HDD.

I'll happy to help you with this issue.

The product you're looking for is called True Image 2013 by Acronis. It has many different features and it allows you to clone disks as well.

Taking into account that you need to clone 2 disks on one, I would suggest making a backup of the disks and restore them on the new one as partitions. You can resize the partitions during restore.

You may also try Acronis Disk Director 11 Home to clone disks and partitions.
The cloning operation transfers all the source disk data to a target disk. The source disk volumes can be cloned to the target disk “as is”, or resized automatically with respect to the target disk size.
Moreover it has OS Selector wizard, a boot manager that allows several operating systems on a single machine. But note that the Acronis Disk Director 11 Home is not compatible with Windows 8.
